This year, Sherri Shepherd (Co-host of The View) will be hosting the Dove Awards’ live taping on April 20 at 8pm at Fox Theatre in Atlanta featuring guest performances already confirmed by Kirk Franklin, Smokie Norful, Tenth Avenue North and Deitrick Haddon.

A nearly full house was on hand at Oshawa’s Embassy church for an evening with the Isaac’s, a highly talented family of instrumentalists, award winning songwriters and producers! The night also featured local talent as well as gospel soloist Hiram Joseph who warmed the crowd with a brief but beautiful set. Despite their association as a Gaither Music Group Artist, for a little more than half of the audience, seeing the Isaac’s live was a first time affair.

Newsboys Frontman, Peter Furler’s first solo album launches June 21 on Sparrow Records. After over seven million albums sold, five RIAA gold records and 25 #1 hit songs, Peter is anxious to return to music after a break following his retirement from the Newsboys.
Although he had no intentions of releasing music following his retirement, he says the music never stopped for him.
“The songs never really stopped. They kept coming,” Furler says. “I’d take a long walk, and a song would come into my head… There is a fire shut up in my bones that I have not been able to hold in since I was a child. For me, I find its release through melody and testimony.”
Newsboys fans and now Peter Furler fans are all anxiously awaiting this celebrated release of one of the best songwriters in Christian contemporary music today. There is no doubt in our minds that this will be a very big album for Christian music.
